It started out in 1963 and eventually became the first men's prestige fragrance in the US. It launched 20 products, which became a foundation of the men's grooming market. It defines the Estee Lauder company, by being dominant in the market of men's fragrances. This brand is named a fictitious character, Aramis. It is said to have lived up to its name by being as much of a legend as the character it is named after. It appeals to a masculine scent that is to be loved in through out time and any day and age. It has made to many departmental stores due to its fresh top notes made of herbs combined with the world's favorite sandalwood and jasmine.
